Archivist, Museum of Flight, May 2014 – December 2015
• Accession new donations and create skeleton records in Archivists’ Toolkit
• Process and catalog archival collections
• Created new DACS-adherent cataloging standards for the Museum
• Assist with reference inquiries
• Developed and implemented new reference procedures and reporting at the Museum
• Working with the department on the implementation of a new content management system to expand the online accessibility of our collection

Archivist, Washington County Museum – March 2013 – September 2013

•Manage the Museum’s library and archives, which includes organizing and describing the collection, developing a    comprehensive mission statement and collections policy, and managing a small group of volunteers
• Provide reference services for the library and archives, including answering requests on phone, e-mail, and in person
• Exported over 4,000 legacy records from Past Perfect and used them to create over 800 accession records in Archivists’ Toolkit
• Use Archivists’ Toolkit to create finding aids for the Washington County Museum archives. Finding aids posted online here:
• Served as Associate Curator on an exhibit about baseball in our area; duties included working with donors, arranging artifact loans, and conducting research

Project Manager, Pacific University – March 2011-March 2013

•Manage a grant project entitled Washington County Heritage Online, funded by an LSTA grant received by the Pacific    University Library and the Washington County Museum:
• Duties include: Overseeing all grant activities; train and work with partners; writing and submitting grant paperwork; make assessments of archival collections; choose images for inclusion in WCHO; develop workflows and infrastructure for the project; supervise student workers; assist in the development of cataloging and metadata standards; create and distribute promotional materials; participate in digitization and cataloging of materials
• Member of the Local Collections and Publication Services team
• Oversaw the creation and submission of the grant application for Year Two of the project
• Created several finding aids for the Pacific University collection on Northwest Digital Archives

Steele Intern, National Baseball Hall of Fame, Summer 2008

•Held intern position in the Hall of Fame’s Giamatti Research Center
• Duties included assisting researchers and visitors, as well as responding to research inquiries from the public, Major League Baseball and the press
• Also reconstructed missing player files from available historical sources both at the Hall of Fame and at other institutions
• Researched and presented artifact collections to the general public
